Hanna Hartikainen from OP Life Assurance Company has been elected as the new CEO of the LocalTapiola General Mutual Insurance Company. She will start her new position on 1 May 2021.
The CEO position at LocalTapiola became vacant when Jari Sundström decided to resign as CEO earlier this autumn. “Hanna Hartikainen has extensive financial and leadership expertise. She is highly cooperative and has a pronounced strategic thinking ability. She is an expert in the insurance and finance industries, under whose leadership non-life company had successfully grown”, Juha Koponen comments.
The vacancy attracted a lot of interest, both within the LocalTapiola Group as well as in the field of competitors. “It has been great to note that so many outstanding applicants were interested in the LocalTapiola group. I want to thank all the internal applicants for their interest in this position. I believe it is good for Hanna’s management to continue to work closely with all the companies in the group”, Juha continues.
Hanna is optimistic that she will bring the business units even closer together and wants to further develop good cooperation within the group. “I am very humbled and excited about my new role and future tasks. I’ve had a long career in the OP Bank Group in various roles in asset management as well as being a director of personal customers business. The last months, I have served as OP Life Assurance Company’s President and CEO. I believe that in addition to my extensive experience, I will bring new energy and strategic views to the group”, says Hanna Hartikainen, the future CEO of LocalTapiola General.
